Highland Coast Hotels unveils £1million makeover across North Coast 500 and Wester Ross

Highland Coast Hotels has kick-started its autumn and winter campaign by unveiling a £1million makeover at selected landmark venues on the world-famous North Coast 500 and at Plockton in Wester Ross.

This latest renovation across the North Highlands is part of the hotel group’s ongoing investment programme to strengthen and enhance the visitor experience and help boost year-round regional growth.

Kylesku Hotel has added four new guestrooms to the main hotel and has brought the seven bedrooms of Kylesku House under the Kylesku Hotel brand. A total of 22 rooms are now being offered by Kylesku Hotel to visitors in the Assynt area from this autumn and winter.

10 rooms in The Haven at Plockton Inn have all been given a major upgrade. Guests visiting this autumn and winter can look forward to new-look bedrooms and public areas. The original beds and furniture have also been repurposed, reupholstered and restored as part of the hotel group’s focus on sustainability. The remaining guestrooms and guest lounge at The Haven will be renovated early 2027.

The guest lounge at Lochardil House in Inverness has been given a soft interior renovation and enhanced by incredible artwork from local artist, Joanna McDonough. Her abstract landscapes lean into the Scottish Highland landscapes capturing the weather, colours and themes you would see in the Scottish Highlands. All 12 guest rooms in the original building of Lochardil House and the garden wing have also been upgraded.

Earlier this year, Highland Coast also reopened one of Scotland’s most historic and northerly pubs at Tongue Hotel. The new look Brass Tap has benefitted from an interior makeover and new outdoor terrace with views across the Kyle of Tongue towards the historic Castle Varrich, Ben Loyal and Ben Hope.

Prices for an overnight stay with Highland Coast Hotels this autumn and winter start from £99 per room, per night, based on two people sharing a standard double room and a bed and breakfast basis.
