From 1st – 24th December, Thursday to Sunday evenings, step into a Magical Christmas Light Walk — a interactive character-led Christmas light walk designed for families and festive visitors of all ages.
Available to book from 4.00pm to 6.00pm in 30 minute intervals.

Your journey begins in the outdoor welcome area, where twinkling lights, a festive food truck, and a little marketplace of Christmas treats set the scene. Here, one of Santa’s cheerful elves will greet your group, share the beginning of the story, and guide you on the winter woodland experience.
As you follow the glowing trail through the gardens, you’ll discover three magical moments, finishing with Santa's post box.
We encourage children to bring their own letters to Santa, however opportunity to write one on the night.
Along the way, lighting, music, and playful storytelling will bring the adventure to life. The walk ends with a heartwarming story moment and a festive photo opportunity.
Guests can return inside Lochardil House Hotel to enjoy pre-booked festive food and drinks or visit our Food Truck for hot chocolate and snacks. Browse a selection of light-up merchandise and seasonal keepsakes - from glow sticks to magical reindeer dust.

Walks are fully outdoors - weather appropriate clothing advised.
Due to steps leading into the garden the walk is not suitable for pushchairs/buggies or those with mobility issues. We do have a buggy parking area.

Terms and Conditions of Ticket Sale
KBE Group LTD – Winter Walk Event
By purchasing a ticket for the Winter Walk event organised by KBE Group LTD (“the Organiser”), you (“the Attendee”) agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“the Terms”). These Terms apply to all ticket purchases and attendance at the event. They form the entire agreement between you and the Organiser and override any prior statements, advertisements, or representations.
1. Ticket Purchase and Refund Policy
1.1 All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased, except as expressly set out in these Terms.
1.2 In the event of cancellation by the Organiser due to severe weather, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond the Organiser’s reasonable control, a full refund of the ticket price will be provided to the original purchaser. No additional compensation (including travel, accommodation, or other costs) will be payable.
1.3 Tickets cannot be exchanged for different dates or time slots once purchased.
1.4 Lost, stolen, or damaged tickets will not be replaced or refunded.
1.5 Tickets are valid only for the specified date and time slot printed on the ticket. Late arrivals may be refused entry. While the Organiser will endeavour to accommodate late arrivals in the next available slot, this is at the Organiser’s discretion and strictly subject to capacity.
1.6 Tickets may not be resold, transferred, or offered for resale through any unauthorised channel. Tickets found to have been resold or transferred without the Organiser’s prior written consent will be void, and entry will be refused.
2. Event Admission
2.1 Entry is permitted only to Attendees holding a valid ticket, which must be presented at the entrance and may be scanned for verification.
2.2 Attendees are strongly advised to download tickets in advance or bring a printed copy. The Organiser cannot guarantee mobile data coverage or Wi-Fi availability at the venue.
2.3 The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry, or remove from the event, any individual who:
- Appears intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.
- Is in possession of prohibited items.
- Engages in abusive, threatening, antisocial, or disruptive behaviour. 2.4 No refund will be given in such circumstances, and the Organiser reserves the right to permanently ban individuals from future events. 2.5 The Organiser reserves the right to amend advertised event timings, routes, or elements of the trail for safety, operational, or weather-related reasons.
3. Accessibility and Restrictions
3.1 Due to the natural terrain and design of the trail, the event is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams, pushchairs, buggies, bicycles, scooters, or any other wheeled devices.
3.2 A designated pram and buggy park will be available in a secured outdoor compound for the duration of the walk. All items are left entirely at the owner’s risk.
3.3 Dogs are strictly prohibited on the trail. Dogs may be permitted in designated hotel areas, subject to hotel policy. Assistance dogs will be permitted in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
3.4 Attendees must remain on the designated trail at all times. Entering unauthorised or restricted areas is strictly forbidden and may result in removal from the event without refund.
4. Children and Age Restrictions
4.1 All children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.
4.2 A maximum supervision ratio of 1 adult per 4 children (4:1) applies. Larger groups must ensure additional adults are present.
4.3 Children who are unable to walk unaided must be carried throughout the trail. Prams, pushchairs, and wheeled carriers are not permitted.
4.4 Parents/guardians remain fully responsible for the safety, welfare, and behaviour of their children at all times, including in the event of separation.
5. Prohibited Items
5.1 The following are strictly prohibited within the event site:
- Glass bottles
- Alcohol (unless expressly authorised by the Organiser)
- Fireworks, flares, or pyrotechnics
- Drones or aerial devices
- Weapons, knives, or dangerous objects
- Amplified music or loud-hailing devices 5.2 Bag searches may be conducted on entry or within the event site. Refusal to comply will result in entry being denied without refund.
6. Safety, Behaviour and Conduct
6.1 Attendees must follow all safety instructions, signage, and guidance issued by the Organiser and its staff.
6.2 The Organiser enforces a zero-tolerance policy towards:
- Abusive, aggressive, or antisocial behaviour.
- Harassment of staff, volunteers, contractors, or other attendees.
- Vandalism or deliberate damage to infrastructure, signage, or natural environment. 6.3 Any Attendee engaging in such behaviour will be removed immediately without refund and may face legal action. 6.4 Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated areas, if available. 6.5 The Organiser reserves the right to require any Attendee to leave the event where, in its opinion, it is necessary for safety or operational reasons.
7. Health and Medical Considerations
7.1 Attendees participate at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring they are physically able to complete the trail.
7.2 The trail may include uneven ground, steps, low lighting, smoke/fog effects, loud sounds, and strobe/flashing lighting. These may not be suitable for those with epilepsy, asthma, or other health conditions.
7.3 Attendees must not attend if they are unwell with any contagious illness.
7.4 First aid provision will be available on site. In the event of an emergency, Attendees must follow staff instructions immediately.
8. Personal Property and Parking
8.1 Personal belongings are brought entirely at the Attendee’s own risk. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal items.
8.2 Parking may be available but is limited and provided at the vehicle owner’s sole risk. The Organiser accepts no liability for damage, theft, or accidents in the car park.
8.3 The Organiser is not responsible for travel disruptions or delays that may prevent Attendees from reaching the event on time.
9. Photography, Media, and Intellectual Property
9.1 The Organiser reserves the right to photograph, film, or record the event for promotional, safety, or operational purposes.
9.2 By attending, Attendees consent to being photographed or filmed.
9.3 Attendees may take personal, non-commercial photos for private use only. Professional equipment, drones, and tripods are prohibited without prior written permission.
9.4 All intellectual property relating to the event (branding, logos, media, designs) remains the property of the Organiser.
10. Data Protection
10.1 Personal information provided during ticket purchase will be processed in accordance with the Organiser’s Privacy Policy.
10.2 Data will be used only for processing tickets, operational communications, and (where consented) marketing.
11. Circumstances Beyond Our Control
11.1 The Organiser shall not be liable for failure to deliver the event, or for any delay or alteration, where such failure arises from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
11.2 Such circumstances include, but are not limited to: severe weather, natural disasters, public health restrictions, power failure, fire, flood, or acts of government.
11.3 In such cases, the Organiser will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or refund ticket holders, but shall not be responsible for consequential losses (including travel, accommodation, or incidental costs).
12. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
12.1 Any complaint must be made in writing to the Organiser within 14 days of the event.
12.2 The Organiser will endeavour to respond within 30 days.
12.3 In the event of an unresolved dispute, Attendees may escalate complaints to the relevant regulatory authority (e.g., the Information Commissioner’s Office in relation to data, or Trading Standards in relation to consumer rights).
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
